Campden Hill Court located within the heart of Kensington. It was built between 1898 and 1903, it houses over 100 apartments. Following our client’s apartment purchase they sought our architects in Kensington's advice on opening up and creating space whilst not compromising accommodation.
The apartment was truly transformed from a dark awkward plan to a much-loved family home. NFA Architects completely altered the plan, allowing the retention of four bedrooms, the addition of a master suite by introducing a new dressing room and en suite, a new family bathroom, utility space and enlarged kitchen. The entertaining area was increased by removing an internal divider wall and so benefitted from additional windows allowing the space to be light and open.
The completed project delighted the client who understood the attention to detail and the great benefit of a well-designed scheme to transform and maximise the potential of a space.
Coleherne Court, Kensington, is a highly regarded period mansion block. The client required a revised layout internally to create a master ensuite that whilst retaining two well apportioned bedrooms and a sense of space throughout. The added complication was the absence of drainage in order to achieve the en suite. The solution-finding approach of the team meant the clients brief was achieved elegantly and all difficulties overcome. The apartment was cleverly transformed and fully refurbished into a beautiful and light filled home.
The attention to detail and expertise in interpreting the client style and brief has resulted in a great success truly reflecting the client and maximising the available square footage of the apartment.
Located in the heart of Belgravia, the penthouse floor of Thorburn House was replanned and fully refurbished to provide two penthouses, one three-bedroom with roof terrace and viewing room with wonderful views of the London skyline. The other a smaller but well organised two-bedroom apartment.
The accommodation was revised to provide a clear division between activity by grouping the bedrooms and private accommodation way from the entertaining space maximising floor space and providing more useful storage solutions.
