A full refurbishment to a 3-storey mid terrace Dutch gable residence in the Campden Hill area. The project included the excavation of a new basement and the addition of new fourth floor creating an additional 50 percent of floor area. The basement is used as entertaining space with a high ceiling and abundance of natural light from walk on roof lights both in the garden and the dining area. It also benefits from an intelligent lighting system, that combined with the natural light makes it feel light and airy and the rooflights provide visual connections from the dining room and garden to the basement. The gym and utility space are also accommodated in the new basement.
The refurbishment provides two additional bedrooms plus a staff bedroom.
The new floor above creates a master suite with master bedroom, en suite and dressing room. This is connected via a new curved staircase from the ground floor up. The client was delighted with bespoke kitchen and the specially built furniture bespoke to the property.
